Two small planes collide in the skies of Canada
Two small tourist planes collided with each other on Sunday near the Canadian capital of Ottawa, one of them crashed into a field, while the other landed at Ottawa International Airport, without knowing immediately if the incident had caused casualties.
The incident took place at 10 am local time in the Carp area of Ontario, about 30 km west of the capital, according to AFP.
One of the planes crashed in a field, while the second, a Piper 42A, about 10 people, was redirected to Ottawa International Airport, where it landed unhindered, a spokesman for the Federal Transport Office said.
"We have sent a team of investigators," the spokesman said, expected to arrive at the scene on Sunday afternoon.
According to the network "CBC" that the commander of the aircraft, "Piper," which was accompanied by one passenger told air traffic controllers that the other plane collided with the bottom of his plane, causing damage to part of the landing system of his plane.
