A suicide bombing near the headquarters of the election commission in Kabul

A suicide bomber blew himself up near the headquarters of the election commission in Kabul on Monday, wounding at least six people, officials said.
An Interior Ministry spokesman in Kabul said at least four officials from the Independent Electoral Commission and two policemen were wounded in the attack.

The attack comes as the election commission began counting votes after parliamentary elections in 33 of the 34 provinces in Afghanistan.

"The suicide bomber blew himself up near the car of a member of the commission who was parked near a police checkpoint," an election commission official said.
