After the battle of words, a "peace" call between Messi and Maradona
Argentine football legend Diego Maradona will touch his compatriot Lionel Messi Tuesday to dispel the misunderstanding caused by dramatic remarks deemed insulting to the Barcelona star, the Mirror reported.
The football legend, Maradona, sarcastically criticized Argentina's Lionel Messi, saying he was not fit to lead his country. "He goes to the toilet about 20 times before the start of the matches."
"If I were Argentina's technical manager, I might not have called Messi because of his performance with the tango, but I will make him reconsider and come and play for his country as I want."
Maradona's lawyer said his client would make a call to clarify matters to Messi on the grounds that her understanding had been abused, but the controversial player would not apologize.
Maradona will try to blame the journalist who questioned him, and in an exciting statement, Matisse Morela explained that Maradona was defending Messi and not attacking him.
"It is a matter of ignorance to underestimate Leo (Messi)," said Maxi Bianchicci, a relative of Messi.
"It's sad to see someone described as a captain talking badly about our best player and he might stay the best for a long time," said Piancucci, a professional player in a league in Paraguay.
"The criticism came at a time when (Maradona) should have supported the rebuilding of the team, which he claimed to be behind," he said.
Messi's response may spark a war of words between the two myths, especially with Maradona's long history of "blunt" statements that do not recognize elegance.
