American student Lara "winning" in the battle of "boycott of Israel"

The lawyers of an American graduate student who was banned from entering Israel on charges of supporting a Palestinian-led boycott of Israel, declared victory after the Supreme Court intervened in the case.
The 22-year-old Lara al-Qasim went to Israel on October 2 with a study visa, but Israeli officials refused to enter it, citing the fact that she was the principal of a small local branch of the Students for Justice in Palestine movement at the University of Florida, Targeted Israeli companies, cultural institutions and universities.

"The Supreme Court's decision is a victory for freedom of expression, academic freedom and the rule of law," Lara's lawyer said in a statement that did not include details of the court's ruling.

Israel enacted a law last year banning the entry of any foreigner "publicly proclaiming an invitation to boycott Israel."
