Compensation of tens of millions of victims of "Yahoo"

Yahoo has agreed to compensate several account holders with tens of millions of dollars in compensation for security breaches.
Yahoo suffered major security breaches on two separate occasions in 2013 and 2014, affecting up to 1 billion users.

Yahoo agreed on Wednesday to pay $ 50 million to more than 200 million account holders affected by the attacks.

Yahoo! will also reimburse people who have overpayed for an excellent email account, giving them 25 percent of the amount spent.

As part of the proposed settlement reached in San Francisco court, the ISP will also provide self-monitoring services free of charge to affected users.

The violations caused their e-mail addresses and other personal information. Yahoo admitted late last year that the 2013 incident alone had affected 3 billion users.

The "hackers" are thought to have been financiers from a certain country, believed to be Russia, according to the FBI.
