Dispute between couple ended with "murder"

The investigators found a 12-inch, blood-stained kitchen knife at the couple's home where John William Jones, 62, was found dead on Thursday, Langkawi police chief Mohamed Iqbal Ibrahim said.
He said the police arrived at the scene after Samantha Jones, 51, asked her neighbor to ask for an ambulance, but medical officials announced her husband's death.
He said he had been stabbed in Jones' chest and that the police classified the case as murder.
Iqbal told the Associated Press: "She admitted that she stabbed her husband in the chest during a heated debate but it is still under investigation," and the wife was transferred to a court, which allowed her detention until next Tuesday.
He said John William Jones, a former firefighter who moved with his wife to the tropical island 11 years ago, under the program "Malaysia My House II," which gives foreigners visas for long stay.
Murder was punishable by hanging, but the Malaysian Government recently announced plans to abolish the death penalty for all crimes.
