Real Madrid takes the lion's share of "heroes"

MADRID (Reuters) - Real Madrid earned 88.6 million euros ($ 100.7 million) from the European Football Confederation (UEFA) last season when they scored their 13th record in history.
The continental union distributed € 1.412 billion to all clubs, which participated in the group stage of the 2017-2018 version, as well as 10 clubs that were eliminated from the playoffs qualifying for the competition.

The funds were allocated based on performance and payments determined by the value of the TV market in each country.

Real Madrid, who reached the semi-final (83.8 million euros), followed last summer's final with 81.3 million euros and Juventus 80.1 million euros.

Bayern Munich, who lost to Real Madrid in the semi-finals, finished fifth with 70.5 million euros.

The clubs, which emerged from the group stage, received between 17.4 million euros and 46.5 million euros, according to their results, and each club at least 12.7 million euros.
