Roman Rains stuns his audience with a "painful" story that stops him from wrestling
LONDON (Reuters) - World famous wrestling champion Roman Rains on Monday has been hit by cancer, the WWA wrestler said.
In a dramatic interview, Raines revealed that he had leukemia again after a relapse, and that he would stop wrestling and follow up on treatment.
Raines shocked the crowds at the WWA circuit when he was diagnosed with leukemia, before thanking the wrestling sport that gave him a chance after suffering from poverty and disease 10 years ago.
Renz, 33, whose real name is Joe Anway, was first diagnosed with leukemia 11 years ago, and a new setback now appears to have restored the malignant disease of the world champion by free wrestling four times.
"It does not matter if you shout in my name or shout at me, you always interacted with me, and that's all the more important, thank you very much," Reines told the audience in an emotional interview.
Reines said he would not quit wrestling, but would temporarily give up his title because he needed to get cancer treatment.
Renz received great sympathy from the fans and legends of the game, on social networking sites, headed by John Cena, who he described as "brave."
