Salah scored a double in the Liverpool Grand Prix on Red Star

Mohamed Salah scored twice in Liverpool's 4-0 win at home to Red Star Belgrade in Group C of the Champions League to revive his hopes of reaching the knockout stage.
Roberto Fermino of Liverpool, who lost in the hospitality of Napoli in the previous game, put in the lead in the 20th minute with a terrific ending to the attack after the wonderful work of Andy Robertson.

Swiss international Sheridan Shakiri made the second goal of Salah before the whistle of the first half scored by the Egyptian player from inside the region.

Red Star did not pose any threat to Liverpool's goal, which killed the game just six minutes into the second half when Philippe Stojkovic blocked Sadio Mani in the area to score a goal from a 50th-minute penalty at Liverpool.

Mani missed another penalty before fixing the mistake by scoring Liverpool's fourth goal from close range in the 80th minute.

After a 2-2 draw with Napoli, Liverpool are now top of the group with six points, one ahead of Napoli and two on St Germain.
