Saudi Arabia and Bahrain are bidding for a new bridge

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Transport, Nabil Al-Amoudi, has announced a tender for the construction of another bridge connecting Saudi Arabia with Bahrain in the Investment Future 2018 initiative in Riyadh, Saudi News Channel reported.
Government officials said Wednesday that Saudi Arabia and Bahrain would bid next week for advisory services on the new bridge that would link the two Gulf states.

Al-Amoudi and his Bahraini counterpart Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed said in a joint statement that the tender concerns the management of the transitional phase of the bridge project, which will be parallel to the existing King Fahd bridge.
