The body of a bird flying over a prominent religious reference house in the city of Ahwaz raised the concern of the Iranian security authorities, which opened an investigation into the incident.
The governor of Ahvaz, Jamal al-Alami, said the flying object was flying over the home of prominent cleric Muhammad Ali Mousavi Jazairi.
He added that the nature of the body has not yet been determined, while speculations revolve around a marching plane. Alami said the authorities were investigating the incident.
The governor rejected rumors of heavy gunfire in the area that pushed the flying body away.
The city of Ahwaz is experiencing security tension because of the repressive policies of the security services against the population, who are taking part in ongoing demonstrations against the policies of the Iranian regime, the "mullahs".
Last month, 29 soldiers were killed in a bombing targeting a military parade of the Revolutionary Guard, adopted by the Ahwazi resistance.
Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have urged Iran to stop its arrests of al-Ahwazi activists and execute a number of them without fair trials, while many detainees are detained without informing their families or enabling them to communicate with lawyers.
