The Dollar Falls against Safe Haven


The dollar recovered some of its earlier losses as US stocks plummeted but remained low against other safe haven currencies.
The dollar fell 0.32 percent against the Japanese currency to 112.45 yen and fell eight basis points against the Swiss franc and was trading at the latest reading of 0.995 francs.

The dollar index, which tracks the performance of the greenback against a basket of six currencies, fell about 10 basis points during the day to trade in the latest trading at 95.927.

The euro was up 0.1 percent at $ 1.1473.
