The final chapter of the Saudi twins


Doctors at King Abdullah Specialist Hospital for Children in Riyadh successfully completed the final separation of the Saudi Siamese twins Sheikha and Shomuk.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Siamese twin twins Sheikha and Shomuk were moved to separate beds in preparation for the reconstruction phase.

The team is headed by the General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief and Works, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabiah, and is attended by approximately 30 doctors and specialists, as well as technicians and nursing staff.

Phase III is preparation and processing, followed by the fourth stage, namely the separation of the intestines and the fifth stage, which is the separation of the urinary and reproductive system and the sixth stage is the separation of the bones of the basin.

After that, the members are restored. It is the sixth stage of the operation. The medical team is divided into two teams.

And then the eighth phase of the process, the stage of coverage and transfer of the two children to intensive care, and is expected to take about 12 hours.

The twins, Sheikha and Shomuk, are 4 months old and each weighs 6 kg and is associated with an area below the abdomen and pelvis. Both have complete lower extremities and are shared in the pelvic area and below the digestive system as well as the reproductive and urinary system
