The penetration of the accounts of Watsab with a malicious trick and a warning to millions

Hackers have discovered a malicious trick to hack and fully control user accounts.
The Code of Security of the company "Sophos" British company, "Sophos" warned of the ability of hackers to penetrate the accounts of users of Watsab relying on the weak protection of their voice mailbox.

These attacks have taken a very serious turn, and many countries have warned through electronic security authorities of millions to take the necessary protection measures.

To control Watsab account, hackers install a new application using a victim's phone number at a time when users are asleep or not using their phone.

The Wattab application sends the 6-digit activation code to the user's phone number. Wattab provides another option to send the activation code via voice call. Since the number does not use their phone at the time, the activation code arrives as an audio message to the user's voicemail.

Here, hackers exploit a security hole in the voice mail service for users. Many operators allow a public number to be used to listen to voice messages, and in many cases users keep the mailbox protection code by default, usually 0000 or 1234.

Here the hackers can listen to the text message containing the activation code, and thus use the code to control the account of the victim.

Some malicious hackers then set the two-step verification option, so the original account holder is unable to recover his or her account.

To protect against this type of attack, experts recommend that you activate the two-Step Verification option immediately from the Settings menu and choose Account.

Experts also stress the need to set a complex password for their voicemail service.
