Trump accuses media of exploiting "mined parcels"

US President Donald Trump accused the media on Friday of using the press coverage of the suspect's case to send at least 14 explosive packages to the president's critics to score political points against him.
"We saw an effort in the last few hours for the media to use the evil deeds of one person to score political points against me and against the Republican Party," Trump told a political rally in Charlotte, NC.

On Friday, federal authorities arrested a person in connection with sending at least 14 explosive packages last week to prominent Democrats and critics of Trump.

A law enforcement official said the suspect was arrested in the Miami area. Authorities have charged the suspect, Cesar Saiuk, 56, with five counts of federal crimes, including threats against former presidents.
