Trump: There is no place for "political violence" in the United States

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump on Wednesday appealed for unity after intercepting suspicious packages, especially sent to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, saying there was no place for "political violence" in the United States.
"At times like this, we have to unite," Trump said from the White House. "There is no place for action and the threat of political violence in the United States."

"We are very angry," he said, promising to "reveal all the circumstances" of the case.

The US president, who did not name his predecessor Barack Obama nor his former rival Hillary Clinton, stressed that all necessary resources would be used to complete the federal police investigation to the fullest.

In turn, First Lady Melanie Trump denounced what she called "cowardly attacks" and said: "I strongly condemn all those who choose violence."
