What did 9,000 "pornographic pages" do with a US government agency?

The electronic network of a US government agency was exposed to malicious software, "viruses," which it found to have come from pornographic sites, because of the disgraceful conduct of an employee.
The US Geological Survey found that its network was infected with viruses after a federal employee surfed about 9,000 pages of pornographic sites from within the network.

A report revealed that the government agency discovered the behavior of the employee during a security audit campaign of the electronic network, explaining that the employee was browsing pornographic sites during working hours, on the computer of the body.

Most of the sites visited by the employee, Russian pornography sites containing viruses, moved to the computer and from there to the network of the body, according to the Washington Post.

The employee also stored some pornographic images on a USB flash memory, which he was not permitted to use and connect to the work computer, as well as storing other images on his mobile phone, also infected with the virus.

The report revealed that the employee, who was not named, no longer works for the government agency, pointing out that it will follow more stringent laws in the future.
