A millionaire fine for "Ober" after a breach damaged by millions


British and Dutch authorities have imposed a fine of one million on Ober for passenger services because of breach of customer data.
According to the Arab Technical News Portal, the data breach occurred in 2016, affecting millions of passengers, resulting in a $ 1.17 million fine on Ober.

The British Information Commissioner's Office announced a fine of 385,000 pounds ($ 492,000) against the passenger services company.

The Dutch data protection authority also imposed a financial sanction of 600,000 euros ($ 680,000) for the same incident.

Ober has been criticized for failing to protect personal information for clients during the October and November 2016 cyber attacks.
