After a 20-year march .. Drogba folds his page in the stadiums


After an impressive career in European stadiums, Ivorian striker Didier Drogba announced his retirement at the age of 40.
Drogba was famous for becoming one of the best strikers in the world during his time with Chelsea between 2004 and 2012, and later for one season in 2014, scoring 164 goals in 381 matches.

Drogba won the Premier League title four times, the Champions League once and the FA Cup four times, in the "Golden Period" of Chelsea English.

The Ivorian striker announced his retirement on his personal account with the application of "Ingestram" on Thursday, in a publication in which he expressed his "great pride in all that he achieved during the 20 years of football."


Drogba represented Le Mans, Ganges, Marseille in France, Chelsea in England, Shanghai Shenhua in China, Galatasaray in Turkey, Montreal Impact in Canada and Phoenix Racing in America.

Drogba also represented his team Côte d'Ivoire in 104 international caps, and led to the World Cup in 2006, 2010 and 2014, and the African Nations Cup final.

Drogba has won several individual awards, including two Premiership titles and the best African player of the year.
