"Medical disaster" in Russia .. The victim is old approaching 90

As a result of a serious medical error, a Russian woman lived a new tragedy in her life at the age of 89, after her first tragedy during the Second World War.
According to local press reports, doctors at a hospital in the Russian city of Voronezh have amputated Maria Dronova's wrong leg to find out the mistake later and break the diseased leg.

Maria had lived another tragedy decades ago, being one of the survivors of the Nazi concentration camp during the Second World War.

Dronova suffered from severe gangrene (tissue death) in her right leg, but the doctors instead did the left amputation.

After 3 days of operation in late October, they realized their mistake, and then they cut off the injured leg of the woman.

The son of Mrs. Andrei Dronov insists that the medical documents confirm that the gangrene was in her right leg only. He also stressed that a doctor confessed to him by mistake after he attended to remove his mother from the hospital on November 4.

"Because of this unprofessional error, my mother is without legs," Andre told a local website.

In World War II, Maria was arrested by the Germans and held in the Nazi concentration camp. She was released in 1945 and was only 16 years old.
