Former British minister admits suicide near sex scandal
A former British minister said what he said was the details of difficult moments he lived in after the exposure of the sex scandal involving him last summer, asserting that he was "about to commit suicide."
Former British Minister of Small Projects Andrew Griffith said in an interview with The Times that he was planning to kill himself after the scandal.
Griffith resigned in July after revealing that he had sent 2,000 "disgusting" sex messages to two women on social networking sites in just 21 days.
The 47-year-old minister also remitted money to the two young men, who reached £ 717 for sending pictures and video clips and was planning to rent an apartment for them.
A committee from the Conservative Party, which belongs to the resigning minister, is expected to make a decision on whether or not the minister will remain in the party this week.
In his first public conversation about the scandal, the minister said he was subjected to sexual harassment when he was a child by a 15-year-old boy, noting that the incident had made him "suffering from psychological disorder for decades."
He pointed out that the scandal that led him to resign also led to his "collapse" and stayed for a month in hospital, after the scandal, between July and August, and said he decided to commit suicide before retreating.
