Gold stable .. The market is waiting for "Tuesday's vote"
Gold settled within $ 5 on Monday, as investors cautious ahead of US midterm elections that will determine whether Republicans or Democrats control Congress.
By 10:05 GMT, the spot price of gold was little changed at $ 1232 an ounce, while US gold futures settled at $ 1233.2 an ounce.
We are only a day away from the midterm elections, which may affect both currencies and several asset classes, so we are relatively stable, "said Saxo Bank analyst Ole Hansen.

Platinum rose 0.2 percent to $ 868.70 an ounce, its highest level since June 25, while palladium rose 0.7 percent to $ 1124.30.
