A mother of Bulgaria was finally able to hear the heartbeat of her son, who died about a year ago, following the failure of an operation in Istanbul.
The parents of the young man, 26-year-old Elia Zilkov, visited a 27-year-old Turkish young man in Istanbul who was transferred to his son's heart.
She met Melina Zikova, Elia's mother, with Hockan Ok in Istanbul, and put the stethoscope on her heart to hear her son's heartbeat, in a scene that made her enter into a crying wave.
The young Turkish Ok in the intensive care unit in the hospital for 7 months waiting for the donor heart, until Elia died, and his father decided to donate all its members.
The Bulgarian mother, who was accompanied by her husband, met the young Turkish man in a hospital in Istanbul's Kushu Yulu district where a heart transplant was carried out. Zikova burst into tears when she saw the young man.
"Since the day we agreed to donate his heart, I was dreaming of this meeting," said the grieving mother, "and my son had a good heart."
"I was having a difficult time waiting for my turn for the heart transplant," he said, adding: "I was lucky, they gave me a new life."
