US reality television star Kim Kardashian was not expecting the flames she was imagining from the sky to be near her home on Thursday night.
The 38-year-old Kardashian posted videos on her Enigma-recorded account from her plane while landing in Calabasas, California, where she lives, and the fires raging in the surrounding forests.
"Pray for Calabasas," she wrote in a video comment, "I had only an hour to pack my belongings and evacuate the house, pray for everyone to be safe."
The American star also showed pictures showing some of the baggage in her car before leaving, to another property she owned in the surrounding hills, which was free of fire.
The American star was keen to publish pictures showing vehicles firefighters, expressing thanks for them.
Large areas of the Kalabasas area, including the area where Kim's two sisters, Kerteni, were forced to evacuate, have been hit by fires.
The city of Calabasas said in a statement that the fires that broke out earlier Thursday came in about two thousand acres.
