The second-seeded Spanish Rafael Nadal has announced his withdrawal from the season-ending Masters and having to undergo an operation on his right ankle, ensuring Novak Djokovic to finish the season at the top of the world rankings.
The Spaniard, who has officially dropped to the rankings, has left Jukovic, a game since he pulled out of the semi-final of Flushing Meadows in September.
He also missed the Paris Masters last week because of abdominal muscle pain, and confirmed Monday that he will miss the final tournament in London next week.
