Real Madrid fans reward Solari in their own way

The majority of Real Madrid's fans have asked club president Florentino Perez to extend Santiago Solari's term after the club's recent positive results under his leadership, a Spanish newspaper poll showed on Thursday.
Solari took over as coach of Real Madrid in late October, replacing coach Julien Lopetigui, who was sacked for poor results, especially a humiliating loss to his traditional rivals Barcelona.

Prior to his temporary job, Solari was coaching the Real Madrid youth team and also defended Real as a player between 2000 and 2005.

The Spanish newspaper As reported that 82 percent of the respondents answered "yes" to the question: "Should Solari remain until the end of the season?" While only 18% said the club should bring another coach.

The Argentine coach managed to lead the Royal team to beat Valladolid 2-0 in the Spanish league, ending the series of disappointing results this season, lifting the club to sixth place temporarily, in the task of correcting the track.

The Real won a great victory in the Champions League when they beat Victoria Plzen and five points in the King's Cup, defeating Solari Melilla 4-0.

Solari oversees the training of the European champions for two weeks according to the regulations of the Spanish federation, after being installed or appointed a new coach.
