Smart application predicts deadly "heart attack" before it occurs
ECG has traditionally been the medical standard for determining a patient's risk of "fatal" heart attack, but a recent smart application can predict seizures before they occur.
A heart attack, which threatens life, occurs when the main artery is completely blocked, and a death or disability can occur if it is not treated within a very short period, a medical study found.
"If one of them has chest pain for the first time, he may think he is just a dysfunction or an accident and will not go to the emergency room," the study said. "But the new application can easily predict heart attacks before they occur.
The results of the application of "AliveCor" came amazing after comparing it with conventional electrode, because it came accurately.
Traditional ECG is made by placing 12 links on the patient's body to track the electrical activity of the heart in different places, while the new smart phone system is done by placing two fingers on each segment to measure the results, which is linked to smart application remotely.
"We found that the application helped us diagnose heart attacks very effectively," said research team leader Brent Mohlstein.
The results of the study were presented at the 2018 American Heart Association Scientific Conference in Chicago last week.
The medical arena has witnessed a number of recent advances in fitness tracking technology, integrating ECG data into a number of consumer-oriented devices, most notably the application on the latest smart watch Apple Watch 3.
