Trump reveals the successor to Nicky Hailey

US President Donald Trump on Thursday confirmed his intention to appoint State Department spokeswoman Heather Naort, a former Fox News reporter, as US ambassador to the United Nations.
At a time when several American media reported that Trump had offered Naort this post and that there was an imminent announcement in this regard, the president said he was "seriously" considering her appointment.

"They are excellent, they have been with us for a long time, they have supported us for a long time," he told the media.

Trump said he would probably "take" next week his decision on the successor to Nicky Hailey, the current US ambassador to the United Nations, who announced in early October her resignation abruptly.
