Violent attack on Erdogan because of "heating palm trees"

In a speech at a meeting of the party's parliamentary bloc, the head of Turkey's opposition party Miral Akchnar attacked the policies of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which led to the deterioration of the economic situation in the country and the high rate of unemployment and inflation.
The opposition leader spoke of a proposed system for heating palm trees in the presidential palace, at a time when the Turkish economy is suffering heavily.

"Turkey's inflation rate has exceeded 26 percent, while the unemployment rate has exceeded the 11 percent threshold, and Erdogan continues to ignore the proposed solutions, while 50 percent of Turkish citizens are poor," Akchnar said.

"We are not thinking about how to warm the citizen this winter," she said, adding that "the dear people who vote for the Justice and Development Party (AKP) are no longer the same as they used to be. The presidential palace is more important than the citizen who will cool this winter, "according to the newspaper" Hurriyet ".

The Turkish policy also touched on the issue of Syrian refugees in the country, pointing out that their census is more than the majority of the population in a number of Turkish regions.

Miral Akchnar accused Erdoğan of providing "substantial support, health care and scholarships worth up to ILL 1,200 per year, while Turkey is experiencing a severe financial crisis."

Turkey is experiencing an economic crisis, the worst in years, losing the lira to 40 percent of its value this year.

At the same time, Ankara has to repay external debt of about $ 179 billion, equivalent to about a quarter of the country's economic output, over the next 12 months, according to JP Morgan estimates published in September.
