Washington: son of Hezbollah leader "global terrorist"

The US State Department has announced the inclusion of Javad Nasrallah, the son of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, on the US sanctions list, calling him a "global terrorist", AFP reported.
The ministry said on Tuesday that Jawad Nasrallah was the "rising leader" of the party, noting that "in recent years he has recruited people to launch terrorist attacks against Israel in the West Bank."

The US Treasury Department has listed five people on terrorist lists for links with Hezbollah militias and has included a Palestinian organization within terrorist organizations.

The ministry said on its website that the five people were: Zaidi Shibel Mohsen, Farah Mohammed, Hashem Yusuf, Kutrani Adnan Hussein Almozadad, in addition to Jawad Nasrallah.

The Treasury Department said it had designated the Palestinian faction, the "Mujahideen Brigades" as a terrorist organization.

Since 1995, Washington has included Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, accusing it of involvement in a number of subversive and inciting activities.
