White House court orders return of "expelled reporter"


A federal judge in Washington on Friday ordered the administration of US President Donald Trump to immediately return the credentials of senior CNN correspondent Jim Acosta to the White House.
Timothy Kelly, the District Judge, announced his decision after CNN demanded that Acosta's credentials be returned, while a case was being filed for its annulment.

The White House correspondent for the White House has repeatedly clashed with Trump and media chief Sarah Sanders at press conferences over the past two years.

But the White House canceled Acosta's credentials last week after a busy news conference, where he clashed with Trump, who appointed the judge.

The White House announced the withdrawal of the entry permit from Acosta in an unprecedented measure, after Trump and Acosta in the White House.
