A German begging his country to return him from Syria

Sufian had entered Syria through Turkey in March of 2015, four years after the outbreak of the crisis in Syria, adding that he had stayed in "safe houses" for a meeting with foreigners from Australia and Russia Central Asian countries, and noted that he received military training for one month, He never took part in any fighting, nor did he "kill anyone in his life".

He said that he was appointed to a hospital in Daqa in the city of Raqqa to benefit from his experience in making medical shoes, as he learned there prosthetic industry, to marry a Syrian woman from the city of Idlib in 2016 and have his only son.

"I stayed in al-Rigga to be surrounded by the Kurdish People's Protection Units in 2017. We were forced to flee to the town of Al-Mayadim in eastern Syria," Sarda told AFP. Sufian said he would not mind being punished if he returned home, hoping that he would not be punished until he returns to his wife and son. He hoped to establish a special job after his return.
