A Saudi driver enters history in the race track
Saudi driver Rima Al-Jafali entered history when she took the podium at the TRD 86 racing race at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
The one-time Formula One TR-86 was a start to the opening round of the Yas Marina Circuit on Saturday and Sunday.
For the first time in the TDR 86 and at the Yas Marina Circuit, young Saudi driver Rima Al Jafali lined up to take part in the silver category for beginners.
Al Jafali took the podium with the best drivers in the world, after finishing second and third in the first and second races respectively.
Rima Al Jafali is one of three drivers from the Gulf region who have a driver's license for racing and the first driver to participate in a racing championship.
"I will never forget this day, I am the first racing driver from Saudi Arabia, and this is an honor," she said of her participation in the competition. "It was a dream I wanted and it's great to be able to do it in the region. Tournament ".
"It was a great experience, and I am very happy to have this dream come true."
The race for the Formula One Grand Prix was fierce, with Spanish driver Kiba Carmona finishing top of the standings with his first race title and third place in the second race.
UAE driver Saif Al Ameri scored mixed results after finishing fifth in the first race, returning strongly in the second race and taking first place.
The TRD 86 Championship at the Yas Circuit attracts many amateur and professional drivers who experience their skills and talents in driving the famous ring.
