After 9 months of attempts, a British woman was able to kill her husband with the help of her lover and daughter, the Mirror reported.
In about a year, Hailey Witheral, 32, sought to kill her 49-year-old husband, Raymond, with her lover Glen Pollard and his 20-year-old daughter Heather.
Witheral married Raymond in December 2016 and gave birth to three children, but she established an illicit relationship with his best friend, prompting her to plan with the lover to get rid of him.
The three (wife, lover and daughter of the lover) tried to kill the man, who had a brain cancer, by stomping his poison, detonating his car, and drowning him during a fishing trip. The poor husband considered all these incidents merely coincidental and accidental.
In the end Raymond was shot in the head, the bullet penetrated his right cheek and exited from the left.
The police discovered the strands of the crime after examining the wife's computer and finding research on smart killing methods, reaching several addresses such as Silent Kill Technique, Smart Ways of Murder and 16 Steps to Kill Someone Without Revealing Your Command.
Investigators also found the car of the "killer wife" near the scene of the crime used to move the husband to the place where he died.
Later, the attorney general, Kent County in southeast London, said the motive for the murder was the relationship between Healy and Glenn Pollard, and that Pollard's daughter Heather had helped in the crime because of her father's great love.
But the three defendants have denied involvement in the murder of Raymond as court hearings continue, which are expected to be handed down soon.
