Protesters in the city of Spzouar burned another sign, chanting: "Long live Mujahideen Khalq, long live the MEK and death for Khamenei."

In the town of Gulgon in Tehran, demonstrators set fire to the images of Khomeini and Khamenei, which were affixed to a large painting. "Death to Khamenei," shouted one member of the stronghold during the burning of the pictures.

Workers protest rallies
In the midst of this, more than 500 workers returned to the Jamshir Dam in Gajsaran to protest against the non-implementation of the promises and the non-payment of their salaries overdue 10 months ago.

Reports from Iran confirm that poverty is rampant, with the opposition MKO saying that "60 percent of citizens are living below the absolute poverty line."
