The new study tested a new treatment called "Tysentric" for cancers, not hormone-based or a common genetic mutation, women who took the drug, in addition to chemotherapy, it was more than two months before the increase in cancer compared to others who took chemotherapy only.
The results were discussed Saturday at a cancer conference in Munich and published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
