Guardiola decides his fate "forever" with Manchester City
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said Thursday it was impossible to become coach of another English team.
Guardiola, who led the league last season with a record 100 points, extended his contract with the champion earlier this year, meaning he will continue with the team until 2020-2021.
Guardiola, one of the most successful coaches in the world of football, is notorious for not long in clubs, spending four seasons with Barcelona and three at Bayern Munich.
If he continues his contract, he will have spent five years with City until 2021, but he said one day he could never imagine coaching a rival team for City in the Premier League.
"I will stay in touch with Manchester City for the rest of my life," he said.
I want to make a better team so that everyone can trust that we have a strong team that can do better. "
The 47-year-old won 14 titles when he was coach of Barcelona and 7 for Bayern, but he said the less intrusive media made it easier for him as coach in England.
"I understood why a coach in England could stay in one team for 20 years," said Guardiola, who led City to the English League Cup title last season.
"Here, over the course of the week, I do not see reporters and an example. We may face some problems in the locker room. Sometimes we deal with the players harshly, but such things are not leaked out of the club except sometimes."
"In Barcelona and Bayern Munich, everything that happens in the club the next day is in the media, so here you feel more comfortable."
