Hamilton's first in America

LONDON (Reuters) - Lewis Hamilton took a big step toward his fifth title at the Formula One Grand Prix after putting his Mercedes at the top of the US Grand Prix on Saturday, while Ferrari rival Sebastian Vettel came in fifth.
The British driver, who will win the title with eight points more than Vettel, will share the front line on the starting line with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.

Vettel, who finished second on Saturday, just 0.061 seconds away from Hamilton, was penalized by a three-point retreat on the starting line because of the slow pace of red flags during Friday's free trials.
