Henry falls in the first test

Former French international Thierry Henry, the new coach of Monaco, suffered a sixth defeat in 10 games, losing 2-1 at Strasbourg in his first match against Saturday.
A week after his appointment as the successor to Leonardo Jardim, Thierry Henry took charge of Monaco, who are in the relegation zone with six points from the first 10 games and a double loss in the Champions League.

Henry spent five years as a player in Monaco and won the league in 1997. Although he took over as assistant coach with the Belgian team in 2016, Saturday's match formed his first as a first coach.

Monaco tried to equalize Adrian Tommasson's header with two seconds after Cedus C made it 1-0 in the first half before Redsir was sent off with a red card due to a strong match with Anthony Gonzalez in the 66th minute.

Henry had to replace striker Radmal Falcao after he limped in the 37th minute.

In another match, three strikes by Marcinius, Adrian Rabio and Julian Draculer, as well as two attacks by Kylian Mbabi and Moussa Diaby, led to the victory of Saint Germain in the same number of games in the Ligue 1 this season after Amiens swept 5-0 on Saturday.

With a series of matches in the same round, the St Germain win was on top of the table with 30 points, eight points ahead of second-placed Lille, who beat Dijon 2-1.

Olympique Lyon, who beat Nimes 2-0 on Friday, are third with 17 points.

Marseille can cross Olympique Lyon and finish third on Sunday.
