Hurricane "Laban" refers to the "skilled Yemeni" to a disaster area
Yemeni authorities announced Monday, the province of Mahra south of the disaster area, after being hit by the hurricane "Alban" and caused heavy losses in it.
The governor of Mahrah Rajeh Bakrit said the governor was "devastated by the torrential rains that hit the province and caused great losses in public and private property."
"The situation is catastrophic in the province and beyond the capabilities of the local authority," Bakrit said, calling for support and assistance.
For his part, the head of the Yemeni government recognized Ahmed Obaid bin Dajr relief organizations to help skilled, located in the southeast of the poorest countries on the Arabian Peninsula at the border with Oman.
In May, Hurricane Mikono, which swept through the Yemeni island of Socotra and southwestern Oman, killed at least 11 people.
The cyclone has isolated parts of the island of Socotra in Yemen, which has been at war for years, prompting the internationally recognized authorities to consider the island a disaster zone.
