India .. Proposal "cruel punishment" to punish rapists



Indian politicians have recently sparked a public outcry by saying that the best solution to combat sexual violence in the country is to burn those who are involved in the rape, and they are alive.
According to the newspaper "Daily Mail" British, the Indian parliamentary deputy, Ginepin Tagore, proposed dipping the person raped in gasoline and then burned instead of contacting the police.

A video of the parliamentarian speaking about the burning of the rapist during her conversation with women who visited her after a sexual assault on a baby not more than 14 months old.

She said it was worth it to those who witnessed the rape and many, to burn the rapist, and then nothing will happen, especially since the number of hundreds.

Indian political rhetoric has sparked controversy, with critics saying the proposal is an explicit call for chaos, and state law enforcement agencies are supposed to punish perpetrators who commit such crimes.

In an effort to downplay what she said, Tagore said she made the dramatic statement so that the crowds of women who came to express their anger over the phenomenon of sexual assault would calm down.

She explained that she made the statement at her residence in the Chaparcenta area and therefore did not invite people to "burn" in a public gathering or during a conference.

India has high rates of sexual abuse, and there are conflicting opinions in the country about possible ways to address the phenomenon, among those calling for a focus on education and education, and others urging tougher sanctions.
