Paris St Germain's Thomas Thoechel and his Marseille counterpart Rodi Garcia were sent off while the capital kept their perfect record in the league, winning their 11th consecutive victory thanks to Mbabey and Julian Drexler.
Paris Saint-Germain top the standings with 33 points, eight ahead of second-placed Lille, while Marseille are now 14 points behind fifth.
