Men's infertility .. New surgery promising to "achieve the dream"

New technique has given hope to millions of men suffering from infertility, hoping to realize their life dream of having children.
The main reason for infertility in men is that they do not produce enough sperm or clogged channels in the testicles, which prevents semen from circulating.

The technique, announced in Britain, surgery to extract a small part of the testis, less than a millimeter width, and the extraction of sperm suspended within the laboratory, according to the newspaper "Daily Mail."

The next step is to inject the sperm into the egg of the wife, similar to artificial insemination.

The new technology is currently being offered in five hospitals of the British National Health Service, the newspaper said.

The difference in the success of this technique is the ability of the microscopes to enlarge the sperm channels inside the testicle, allowing the surgeon to find and extract sperm.

Dr Chana Jayasina, a consultant on venereal diseases at Imperial College London, says the technique has proven successful with up to 30 percent of men who have been told they will not.

It is noteworthy that the presence of about 300 thousand men "sterile" in Britain, were diagnosed cases of lack of sperm count or lack thereof.
