The image of a wanted thief has made a mockery of social media because of his likeness to a comedian famous in the 1990s.
British police released a surveillance camera of a person who robbed a restaurant in Blackpool, warned the public not to deal with him and called them to address the authorities immediately after seeing him.
But the "police warning" was not taken seriously by the public, who made sarcastic comments on the Blackpool police site on Facebook, because the suspect is very much like actor David Schwimmer, one of the famous "Friends" heroes of the 1990s.
The American actor Schweimer achieved great success in the role of character Ross in the series "Friends" Comedy, which was introduced for ten seasons, between 1994 and 2004.
People commented comically on the image of the accused, quoting well-known comments from the Ross character of the series, so that the British police participated in the comments in a funny way.
The police wrote: "Thank you for your quick response." We quickly verified the matter, and confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America at the time of the robbery. "
