Russia: Missing and injured in the "single aircraft carrier"

A sudden accident in Russia's only aircraft carrier injured four workers as a result of the sinking of the floating dock for docking and the collision of the lifting machine with the ship's mast.
According to Sky News, one person was still missing until after the incident of the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov on Tuesday while undergoing maintenance in northern Russia.

The Russian army has been involved in aircraft carriers dating back to the years of the Soviet Union in several military interventions, the most recent support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The accident took place during the docking of one of the largest floating docks in the frozen waters of Kulu Bay in Murmansk, near the center of the Russian Northern Fleet.

Meanwhile, Maria Kovton, Mormonsk province, said she had sent rescuers who had evacuated 71 crew members before drowning the pavement on which she had anchored.

Russian investigators said they would launch a criminal investigation into the breach of safety measures by the administration overseeing the floating pier.

The head of the Russian warship, Alexei Rakmanov, was quoted as saying by the Russian news agency that the ship's structure and mast had been destroyed, while important parts of the ship had been delivered.
