Saudi Arabia supports Pakistan with $ 3 billion
Pakistan has announced that Saudi Arabia has agreed to support it with $ 3 billion in foreign currency for a year, while providing other facilities to help avoid a current transaction crisis.
"It was agreed that Saudi Arabia would deposit $ 3 billion for one year as a support for the balance of payments," the foreign ministry said in a statement.
"It was also agreed that Saudi Arabia would facilitate the postponement of payments to import oil worth up to $ 3 billion for a year This arrangement will remain valid for three years and will be reviewed after that."
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan attended the conference on the Future Investment Initiative, which opened in Riyadh on Tuesday.
The initiative is organized by the Public Investment Fund, the investment arm of Saudi Arabia, and includes more than 35 dialogue sessions.
