Survival of a senior US military commander from an armed attack in Afghanistan

At least two Americans were injured in a shooting inside Kandahar state governor's headquarters on Thursday during a high-level security meeting attended by US commander General Scott Miller.
A spokesman for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Col. Knott Peters said in a statement that the general was not injured in the attack on the headquarters of the governor of Kandahar province, AFP reported.
