The fall of a Russian warplane and the loss of its pilots
The Russian Defense Ministry announced the fall of one of its aircraft and the loss of its pilots during regular exercises over the Sea of Azov on Thursday.
The ministry said the L-39 plane crashed Thursday during a regular training exercise.
"The two pilots landed on their umbrella, and the search is still under way," a source at the ministry was quoted as saying.
It is noteworthy that the "L-39" Czech-made training aircraft, developed for the first time in the sixties of the last century.
Several countries use thousands of aircraft of this type, and Russia continues to use them in their air colleges.
