The Thai cave boys are guests of the Red Devils
MANCHESTER, England (Reuters) - Two young Thai boys were trapped inside a deep cave in June and their rescue sparked widespread international attention, the Manchester United players and coach said on Saturday.
According to the Sun newspaper, coach Jose Mourinho has received the 12 boys from the cave, aged between 11 and 16, along with their coach.
The Manchester United account, posted on Twitter, posted pictures of the cave girls spending fun moments with the Manchester United coach and players, as Mourinho showed up wearing T-shirts for young visitors.
The Wild Horse football team was caught with their coach on June 23 while exploring a cave complex after soccer training, where torrential rains flooded the tunnels.
Two British sailors found the boys and their coach sitting on a muddy bank in a partially submerged room several kilometers into the cave.
The 12-year-old American presenter Alain de Gueneres, along with their coach, hosted her program, making her debut on an international television screen.
When Ibrahimovic entered the studio suddenly and with a broad smile, the young man met her with signs of happiness.
"These children, and this team, are more courageous than me, they have shown how their collective work was an impetus for patience and faith during their ordeal at Tham Luang Cave in Thailand," Ibrahimovic said.
The boys are expected to play Manchester United and Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
