DUBAI (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump said Friday he hoped the US priest, Andrew Brunson, would return to his country "soon" after the recent decision by the Turkish court.
A Turkish court on Friday ordered the release of Brunson and his travel ban after his case sparked a crisis between Trump demanding his release and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who opposed it.
In his first comment, Trump wrote in his Twitter account: "My thoughts and prayers with Rev. Brunson, and hope to return safely to us soon!
